The Swan at Marbury is a rare bird; a big old farmhouse that started selling real ale over 250 years ago, set in the centre of one of the most picturesque villages you could imagine, with one of the most beautiful churches in England on its doorstep. Right on the village green, with a 200-year-old oak tree next to the front door, and a view over Little Mere lake. With a comfortable bar, a candle-lit restaurant, open real fires, good conversation and easy-going laughter. Where business is left at the door, and what we\\\'ve always imagined life should be, begins. In the deep South Cheshire countryside, a stone\\\'s throw from Shropshire and within sight of the Welsh border, lies the village of Marbury. At the heart of that village, nestling onto the green and overlooking Little Mere, is an old traditional public house called The Swan Inn. The Swan, like many other remote pubs, has had to change with the times,  and yet - there is still room in the British heart for that unique, social, historic establishment known as the Public House. And always will be, God willing! The Swan at Marbury has two rooms: The Bar, and The Restaurant. In the bar you\\\'ll find a log fire in the winter, comfortable furniture, blackboards, a dartboard, gentle conversation, easy laughter, and fascinating local history on the walls. In the restaurant you\\\'ll find an inglenook fireplace, and a scrumptious and very popular menu We don\\\'t try to be all things to all people. But we do our best! We hardly ever advertise. The Swan Marbury has fostered its reputation almost exclusively by word of mouth. The Swan is about character - among its walls, among its patrons, and among its staff. In short, if you can find us, you won\\\'t be disappointed. Where history, pleasure, comfort and great food conspire to put a spell on your soul; to remember what is is to be in a real English country pub. But don\\\'t just take our word for it. Come see for yourself. The Swan Marbury, Just a Great Place to Be.
