Welcome to the Black Horse Inn in Grimsthorpe, We are local people with great experience in the pub and restaurant trade. We are Sheila and Richard Blessett and took over the Black Horse Inn on April 18th 2006. After a refurb we then re-opened to the public. We are still making some changes to adapt and accomodate to trade demands. We both have a wealth of experience in the catering industy having had butchers shops in the past, arriving now in restaurants, we are formally from the Red Lion in Newton which we owned from 1999 to 2005. We look forward to welcoming you to sample our cuisine! The bulk of our produce is lincolnshire based, this includes the vegetables, meat (lincolnshire red beef) and cheese. All desserts are home made on the premises, and there is the usual list of 12 available. We serve the Hot Carvery on Sunday lunchtimes which is also available for party bookings with a minimum of 20 people. Hot carvery is also served on Saturday evening alongside an A La Carte menu. We offer traditional Sunday Lunches from the hot carvery with a choice of four meats as well as offering a cold buffet. The drinks we provide include 2 cask ales, the resident is Batemans and a guest ale is rotated every month. We also supply 3 types of larger, Guinness, Cider and John Smiths. The wines are sourced from a local wine merchant with its own label of house wines. We are closed all day Mondays apart from bank holidays and we are open for lunch Tuesday to Saturday 12 noon to 2pm as well as serving food in the evening 6.30pm to 9pm. We serve Sunday lunch at 12 noon to 3pm, however bookings are essential as we do get very busy. The bar is open on Sundays from 12 noon to 3pm. Over the Christmas period, we are closed Christmas day and New Years day however we do open on Boxing day but close in the evening.Accomodation comprises of 2 double bedrooms at a cost of Â£35 per person per night (including breakfast) and 1 single bedroom (below) at a cost of Â£50 per night (including breakfast). All bedrooms have en-suite facilities.
