Detailed Information

The Church House, Buxton Road, Buglawton, is about 1 mile from the centre of Congleton on the A54. It is a family-run traditional pub owned by Frederic Robinson’s Brewery of Stockport. Set in extensive grounds, it has a large enclosed children’s play area with pets corner and free putting green and a large car park. For the past four years, it has won awards for the floral displays designed and maintained by the landlord, Graham. Food is served between 12;00-14;00, and between 18;00-21;00 Monday to Thursday, and 12;00-21;00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Dining areas are non-smoking. After 1 July 2007, smokers will be catered for in a purpose-built outdoor smoking area. We serve home-made food which is prepared to order – we aim to serve quality food as quickly as possible. Sample menus are available here including vegetarian options and a complete gluten free menu. Why not organise a buffet, or perhaps an outdoor private BBQ or banquet in summer? Buffets from £5.75 a head – special requests catered for. For ramblers groups, there are several walks that can start and end by the pub. Order your lunch before you leave, and enjoy it by the logfire in winter or in the beautiful gardens in summer. To discuss catering, please call 01260 272466 and ask for Barbara or Kerri. Several local groups, including classic car club, fishing clubs, American car club, scramblers and motorbike clubs meet at the pub. If you are looking for a venue for a club or society to meet, we would be pleased to hear from you.
