The Fox Inn itself has been an alehouse since 1784 and started as a meeting point for traders and businessmen, who would dig into a communal loaf, pound of cheese and a pint of real ale. Hawesbury Upton is perfectly placed in the picturesque Cotswolds, right on the Cotswold way and close to Bath, Bristol, CheItenham and Cirencester. It is the ideal place to stay for Gatcombe and Badminton and  is ideal for golfing or walking weekends as there are several nearby golf courses and the cotswold way passes through the village.
