A comfortable modern Greene King pub with well-kept ales which is popular with all ages. It is a short walk from the tram and has Cask Marque accreditation. The present building was opened in the late ’60s, replacing the original which was destroyed by a flying bomb. The interior has subsequently been altered, leaving a one bar pub. The two Greene King beers are usually accompanied by two from other breweries.
