The Barley Mow is an 18th Century Hostelry set in the idyllic village of Paulerspury just off the A5 near Towcester. It first opened its doors in 1740 when at that time Paulerspury was an isolated settlement and served thirsty farmers and foresters. Now under new management landlords Alistar Charles and Alan Read welcome regular customers and new from further a field. The Barley Mow is a traditional pub with a friendly atmosphere and offers real ales, premium lagers and continental wines. It is a great place to enjoy a drink or enjoy good quality traditional home cooked food in the pub restaurant in a friendly atmosphere. Food is available Tuesday to Saturday 12pm-2pm, Tuesday to Friday 6pm-9pm, Saturday 6pm-9.30pm and Sunday Roasts are served 12pm-3.30pm. Or even take advantage of beautiful summer days and sit and relax in the pub beer garden and take in the lovely surroundings of the peaceful village. The pub has a pool table and a dartboard for customers to enjoy a game or they can even have a game of traditional skittles, or play the jukebox.
