We are a 15th Century freehouse  situation in the depths of the countryside.  We bought the pub, renovated and refurbished and opened in June 2011.  We have retained the character of this beautiful building and opened up the garden to reveal the most amazing views across the fields – the like of which you\’d be hard pressed to find elsewhere!  The impressive inglenook roars away in the winter months and we welcome, drinkers, diners and dogs alike.  Our food has quickly gained an excellent reputation and you are strongly advised to book.  We hold some fun evenings through the year including St George’s Day Celebrations, St Patrick’s Day and  St Andrew’s Day.  We hold a Burns Night Supper in January.  We have re-launched the”Soap Box Derby\”” which will be held annually on May Bank Holiday.  You are welcome to come and watch or build a cart and enter.  Just call the pub for rules and details.
