The Cock Inn is a 17th Century village pub with large sunny beer gardens and a brand new, fully enclosed big adventure playground area with tube slides, rock walls and climbing ropes. With play equipment suitable for children of all ages, you can sit back, relax and let your children play in a completely safe environment whilst enjoying your meal. We offer great value for money, serving good home-cooked food 7 days a week, serving both restaurant food and bar snacks, with an affordable children’s menu and a good range of vegetarian meals (prepared using separate equipment). There is a Light Eater’s lunchtime menu, Monday–Friday, 2 courses for £5.95, (excluding Bank Holidays). We also cater for the bigger appetite with good-sized meals and an excellent Sunday Roast, cooked in the traditional way, with a Vegetarian Roast option, booking is essential. We have pool, darts and big screen TV, a Boules/Petang pitch, public bar, saloon bar and a separate restaurant. Group bookings, special occasions and parties are also catered for. Parties catered for and you will certainly feel in the Christmas mood, with decorations adorning the pub both inside and out. Dining at The Cock Inn, Peasmarsh We serve a range of great food with all ingredients locally sourced where possible. Our Christmas 2010 menu is now available. The Cock Inn Caravan Park is open from 1st March to 31st October each year. It has 20 privately owned static caravan and 5 touring pitches. The grass site is flat and is set in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by trees making it very peaceful and tranquil, but with the added bonus of having a large supermarket and petrol station only a few hundred yards away. But despite its proximity, it is hidden from view by the surrounding trees. The Children’s Play Area is within view of the Caravan Park and so you can relax by your vehicle whilst the children play in the fully enclosed garden with equipment that conforms to all safety criteria. The Caravan Park is right behind the pub with its 40-cover restaurant, so if you don’t want to cook then there’s not far to go for a lovely home cooked meal. This site is listed in the Camping and Caravanning Club and is ideally located to enable you to explore the surrounding area. The historic town of Rye is only a few minutes drive away, or you can take a bus there, with the bus stop just outside the pub. Rye is one of the original Cinque Ports, with links to the fishing industry as well as traditional cobbled streets and quaint shops and tearooms. Camber Beach, with its long expanse of golden sand and dunes, is only a 20 minute drive away and from there you can also undertake the Marsh Tour of all the very old villages in the area, many dating back to the Doomsday Book. Tenterden, another historic and interesting town, is also 20 minutes drive away. From here you could take the stream train to places such as Bodiam Castle, a beautiful moated castle with lovely gardens and spectacular rooms to view. If you like steam trains, then from Dungeness you could also take the largest miniature stream train in England on a journey through the Marsh to Hythe. Dixter House in Northiam is only a 5-minute drive, whose gardens are open to the public with a breathtaking array of plants and floral displays. Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, set up by the late John Aspinall, is only 40 minutes away, giving you the opportunity to see giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, rhinos and gorillas, to name a few! The spectacular Bengal and Siberian Tigers are also there to see. Hitch Fees for 2009 are £17.50 per night, which includes VAT, electricity and hot water for the showers. There is a toilet and shower block, a chemical toilet and outside sink. East Sussex is a welcome haven for walkers in the busy southeast of England, with over tow thirds of the county covered by the High Wealf and Sussex Downs Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
