Detailed Information

The Cross Keys is a welcoming, friendly pub in the heart of Castle Donington. It is popular with locals and visitors alike, and has a sporty feel to it, as it has three teams attached to it – a rugby team, a cricket team and a football team. Your hosts, Donna and Andy Moon have been in charge for over a year and a half and have built on the solid reputation the pub had for its great atmosphere, its great drink and its filling snacks. The exterior is very attractive and well proportioned and has colourful hanging baskets that add to its overall attractiveness. The interior is equally as attractive and is everything a good English pub should be. It is open every session from Monday to Thursday (though it is closed at Monday lunchtime except on bank holidays) and all day on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays. It serves four real ales – Deuchars IPA, Black Sheep, Marston’s Pedigree and a rotating guest ale, plus a good range of beers, lagers, cider, spirits, wines and soft drinks should be driving. Snack food is available throughout the opening hours and includes filled cobs, chips and pork pies. In the winter months there is a quiz every Tuesday night and everyone is welcome (ring for details). There is plenty of outdoor seating in the courtyard and ample parking spaces. Close by is Donington Race Circuit and East Midlands Airport.
