The Elk’s Head is situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the foothills of the North Pennines on the edge of Whitfield village. Our riverside location is surrounded by beautiful woods in an idyllic upland valley. It is perfectly positioned to be your base to explore the North of England.

The property boasts 10 comfortable bedrooms , a restaurant serving delightful local produce, external seating in our riverside garden and a welcoming bar serving both hot and cold drinks.
