The Plough, renowned for its fresh fish menu, is a typical, friendly, local rural pub in Shutlanger just over a mile from Towcester Racecourse and 3 miles from Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, with the popular Stoke Bruerne Canal Museum very close by. The outside garden is regularly used during the summer months and is extremely popular with families as there is a great play area for children to enjoy themselves. They have a lovely well-maintained restaurant offering over twenty dishes available on the Seafood Specials alone including Large Whole Dover Sole dressed with Lemon Butter. The fresh fish is delivered from Looe in Cornwall, and cooked to order. The Plough was awarded 19 out of 20 stars in a mystery diners, run by the Chronicle & Echo, which has yet to be beaten by any restaurant in Northamptonshire. Their restaurant has also won an award within the Charles Wells Group for Best Restaurant.
