The Rock of Gibraltar PH with large Canal Side Garden original was built for the navies constracting the Oxford canal in 1780. Henry Baker was the first Landlord in the pub and the lock to the south is named after him. An attractive building of traditional local Cotswold stone, with a large canal side garden and 80 metres of moorings with mooring opposite the pub as well, there is access via a footbridge for walkers and boaters. The Garden also features a decking area with awning, sitting 60 people, southwest facing enabling wonderful sunsets over the Cotswolds to be enjoyed on balmy summer evenings. Inside there is a conservatory style restaurant sitting up to 60 people, a Snag room for 12 people, (ideal for small business meetings. A large bar area with open fire place also a games room with pool table (Every Tuesday free pool). Our menu is varied with most traditional dishes on offer; also Greek food (Sunday only traditional roasts being served).The wine cellar has a good range of wines including Greek. A selection of real ales always on offer among with two ciders and lagers.(This is our third year in the CAMRA good beer guide) We can cater for parties and other special occasions large or small, with menus and demands to meet your needs Children up to 12 years old half price. Bar open 11.00 am to late, Tuesdays 4.00 pm to late Sunday 12.00 pm to 10.00 pm.
