The shepherd and Crook is a local 16th Century Pub, in the heart of the 12th Century Village of Burmarsh which has for centuries been involved with shepherding and wool. There fine cellar carries all the usual beers, wines and spirits along with a selection of bottled beers and well-kept ales;Adnams bitter and one guest ale. In addition to the warm and friendly atmosphere of this family-run freehouse is a recently refurbished non-smoking restaurant which serves excellent traditional English dishes along side tasty vegetarian options together with a selection of light bar snacks.. All ingredients are sourced from local farmers and growers and cooked fresh. (Please note the restaurant is closed Sunday evenings). Disabled access and helpful staff are available throughout the premises , making this pub a suitable place for everyone. It has a lovely log fire to welcome you in the cold winter months and then for the summer there is a sheltered beer garden for you to enjoy a cold refreshing drink on a hot summers day .That’s not to mention the fantastic quiz nights a couple of times a year.
