Detailed Information

The Six Bells has recently been refurbished with a quirky cycling theme. ( I love my bike almost as much as my pub ) it’s definitely subtle and not OTT. Some of the original brickwork has been exposed, wood panelling painted, two log fires and a double-sided log burner add to the cosy feel. Painted in rich hues of dark red and charcoal green with comfy leather sofas and wing chairs to relax in by the fires. There are bookends made from original Brooks bicycle saddles , which prop up the interesting volumes you can read whilst having a quiet drink. If you want to read the daily paper, or play a game from the games shelf, then you’re welcome to do that too. We have the Phoenix trail very close by, which is a purpose- built circuit for runners and cyclists. Why not enjoy a jog or get on your bike and ride to The Six Bells where you can leave your bike in our secure rack. What’s not to get on you’re bike for ?! If you look closely you will see that the last orders bell has been constructed from a concoction of pedals and chain cogs ! A chandelier made from an old bicycle wheel , a table from a wheel and front forks. A lamp made from the front forks of a bicycle too. The Six bells really is a place for all people , for all occasions, it’s whatever you want to be.
