The Waggon & Horses pub was built in 1860; situated on the main road between Dudley and Wednesbury, in a little place called Ocker Hill. The helpful staff only adds to the pubs warm and cosy atmosphere on hand. There are two separate areas throughout the pub, one of which is a large bar and the other is a cosy lounge area. They serve a wide selection of draught beers, wines and spirits for your enjoyment. With an inviting coal fire and traditional décor with wooden beams, this pub is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing day out in the winter with family or friends. During the summer months, the pubs large beer garden/ Terrace is a stunning place for the parents to relax with a refreshing drink, while the children play in the large childrens play area. Since the new smoking legislation the pub has recently had a new smoking shelter built, this is newly structed and make from wood, it is separate from the pub, the shelter is heated with background music and fantastic lighting, this cosy shelter is a great place to accommodate all customers that smoke. The pub also have their own microbrewery Est. 2004, they are the only pub in Tipton with there own brewery, one of there most popular real ales is named after the brewer\’s daughter (Phobies Ale). Which show this pub is not just for good beer but it is also very family orientated. This pub is a traditional real ale pub who appreciate good beer, hence the reason they have not much entertainment or any other gimmicks.
