In a picturesque village, this free house has been licensed since 1804. Offering up to eight ales from local and national brewers with Chantry beers regularly featured. Sadly, the Addlestones cider does not meet CAMRA’s definition of real cider, despite being served through a hand pump. The pub has a car park and patio, and a large grassed area at the rear with a children’s adventure playground and a craft shop. A marquee and the Hoober Room are available for hire. Home-cooked food is popular here. This local is handy for historic Wentworth Woodhouse, The Needle’s Eye and Hoober Stand. Also accessible from the parish church to the rear. A new feature is a “Pop-up” Pie Shop at the side of the pub, open every Sat 7 Sun from noon until 4pm.
