The first mention of this inn was in 1671. It was extensively altered in 1912/13 to give it’s a Victorian style appearance, with large gables and high ceilings. It is now a real ale destination with its 8 hand pumps serving 3 regular and 4 guest ales, plus 1 regular cider and 1 craft beer.An annual festival is held in December and live sport is shown. Every Thursday is a Quiz and they have a traditional meat draw on Sunday.
