Detailed Information

The Chesterfield Arms describes itself as a ‘real ale emporium’. Food is not the focus but good beer most certainly is; there’s an exceptional range of our national drink (and real cider) on offer here, with 16 beer taps to choose from, plus six ciders (and 30 whiskies). The interior of The Chesterfield Arms is atmospherically lit, classy and comfortable, with buttoned-leather Chesterfield-style sofas, bare floorboards and dark wood pannelling. The atmosphere and design strongly encourages visitors to grab a seat in the corner, order a pint and settle in for a good chat. You might hear some quiet music in the background but the overall aim of the pub is to create a place for relaxation and conversation. However, The Chesterfield – which is owned by Leicestershire’s Everards Brewery and run by Brown Ales of Clay Cross – is not really about food but is rather a celebration of beer and the concept of the great British pub.James Brown, who runs the pub, says; “With pubs we believe you need to do one thing well and focus on that. We focus on serving really great beer and providing a place where people can meet up and chat.”The Chesterfield Arms is one of Everards Brewery’s acclaimed ‘Project William’ pubs.
