Detailed Information

The Goat is a 15th century building set in the picturesque surroundings of St Albans and became a pub in 1587,and was rumoured to be the oldest brothel in St Albans, the Goat Inn was well known in the late 18th early 19th century for having the largest amount of stabling in St Albans, and at one time could hold 72 horses but only sleep 10 people.
Although it has been modernised in some ways over the years, it still retains it character and the old carriage arch.
