Great views onto open fields surround the late 18th century Hare & Hounds in the picturesque rural village of Ledburn. In the vast expanse of farmland, where horses are a regular sight and chimney pots are few, the Hare & Hounds (referred to as the Hidden Haven), presides. It is a delightful traditional village pub, which is the closest pub to the great train robbery. The pub was where the police held their investigation from back in 1963. It has a beautiful fireplace and a separate dining area. This destination food house has an impressive number of regular clientele who travel from afar to enjoy the quality of food and service they expect from a family run business. The food can be chosen from the main menu or large specials board which vary from traditional British food to Mediterranean cuisine, which is freshly cooked by our Brazilian chef. A friendly atmosphere, a good selection of wines, a great menu plus exotic specials and plenty of parking, makes the Hare & Hounds the ideal venue for small private dinner parties for any occasion. Come along with your whole family or friends to enjoy our dining experience at the Hare and Hounds.
