This prominent two bar main (A12) road pub with wooden floors throughout was one of the first smoke-free pubs in the country, pre-dating the present smoking ban by a number of years. Today it has a good reputation for locally sourced food and and quality real ales. Guest beers may increase to three in summer months and are sourced mostly from local brewers.
