Lovely free house situated in the hamlet of Waterley Bottom, it is surrounded by steep hills. During the 19th century it was a cider house and was frequented by workers travelling on the adjacent path from Wotton-under-Edge to the wool mills in Cam and Dursley. In July, a ball-throwing event occassionally takes place from the New Inn over the hill in Dursley to the New Inn, Waterley Bottom. The pub has two bars, an attractive child-friendly garden and is popular with walkers. An Ordnance Survey map is recommended for first-time visitors. No food is served on Monday. Closed Monday lunchtime.
