The Old Thatch Tavern is a fabulous traditional old town pub situated in Stratford Upon Avon. It has been licensed as a pub since 1623 and is the only thatched building in the whole town. They have a well-stocked cellar, a serve a full selection of draught beer, wine and spirits for your enjoyment along with a range of real ale and soft drinks for all the non-drinkers and drivers. Situated on the pubs premises, there is a lovely beer garden, which is a small courtyard area; with pretty fresh flowers surrounding it and a beautiful water feature, it is a very picturesque and a perfect place to relax with a refreshing drink in the summer months. Also on the courtyard there is a sheltered smoking area to accommodate the customers who enjoy a smoke. Although there is no quiz night held at present, keep your eyes peeled or ask a member of staff as they are in the process of being organised, and we are sure they will be a fantastic success with regulars and new customers passing by. To stop all customers from feeling hungry, a menu of delicious traditional home cooked food is served throughout the lovely restaurant. Choose from the main menu or from the specials board for something a little different. Some favourites include a range of homemade pies, liver and bacon, fish and chips and homemade cottage pie. That’s not forgetting the great carveys served every Sunday. The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday lunch time 12pm to 3pm and of an evening 12pm to 5pm and of a Sunday 12pm to 5pm. For any special occasion coming up why not hire the pub out for that birthday, wedding, christening etc, as it can hold 70 people, food can also be provided on request.
