The Pigs is committed to providing honest food; locally sourced, skillfully prepared and reasonably priced. We hope to offer tastes and textures long since forgotten, what we call real food! We believe in buying local produce. Our meat is Norfolk reared, additive free, sourced directly from butchers and farmers practicing good animal husbandry. Fish is from the North Sea and is delivered daily, most of the game is from the Edgefield shoots, and the fruit and vegetables are from Norfolk farm shops. All our dishes are made from scratch here in The Pigs kitchen, and our aim is to feed you as efficiently as we can, so you leave well fed, replete and happy. We love food here at The Pigs, but we dont want to push it in your face. For a start, it\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’s difficult to get it out of the eyebrows. Instead we hope to provide an easy, comfortable, relaxed dining experience with no starched waiters and no turning the lights off at 9;30 because the staff want to go to bed. We want you to enjoy well-cooked, locally sourced, wholesome food. The sort of classic British dishes we all know and love. We don\\\\\\\’t serve the usual processed crisps and nuts behind the bar, we serve Iffits. tastes good and it\\\’s in season, its on the menu. We also have a large menu specifically for children, and if your child is trying to copy mum & dad when you come in, we are more than happy to serve small portions from the main menu. Someone has to drive, and children get thirsty too, so we have also got an extensive array of soft drinks. More than enough to satisfy, we think. Our wine supplier always comes up trumps with a lovely range of reds, whites, and super-fashionable and super-tasty ross. We have a superb range of beers ranging from the local micro-brewery range of Peter Yetman, to the local classics from Woodfordes and Adnams, to the rich fruity continental beers such as Hoegarten and Leffe. We now have our own house ale, Edgfield Old Spot, brewed by Wolk Brewery and a perfect accompaniment to the fantastic menu. Old Fashioned Games Nights. Every Thursday 8pm onwards – darts, billards, dominoes, shove halfpenny and much more… Were putting together a darts team and a petanque team to take on the world.
