The Red Lion Inn dates back from the 17th century and is located right in the middle of Westbury village. The pub boasts real beams, a real fire, a good range of real ales and a really friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy chefs great selection of homemade dishes, with most ingredients sourced locally. There are three comfortable, well-furnished en-suite rooms with the usual facilities and a TV. Westbury is a superb centre from which to explore the forest of Dean, Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Cotswold. The National Trust owned “Westbury Court”, the finest Dutch Water Garden in Europe is a three minute walk from the pub as is the church, part of which dates from 1290. The church has a detached watchtower, which has a wood-shingled, 160 foot high spire which houses a peal of six bells. Situated on the pubs premises there is a lovely beer garden and play area, which is a great place to sit and relax with a refreshing drink during the summer months, whilst the children play and with disabled facilities and a car park also on the premises this makes the pub a suitable place for all.
