Detailed Information

Welcome to the Royal Oak Free House, a community pub located in Harriseahead, close to Mow Cop a popular local beauty spot. Harriseahead is situated north of Stoke on Trent on the Cheshire border and is close to both Alsager and Congleton. Circa 1858 it was originally an alehouse known as the ‘Nags Head’ and was renamed in 1889 when it became a fully licensed public house. There is a very nice beer garden on the premises, which is the perfect place to come and relax on those sunny days, whilst enjoying one of our refreshing drinks. Choose from a full selection of cheap draught beer, wine and spirits along with real ales and a range of soft drinks. To accommodate smokers a heated smoking area is also on the premises, to keep you a little warmer in the winter nights. The Royal Oak is a true village pub that holds regular meetings for the local racing pigeon club, the cage bird society and child minders. It has darts teams and holds a karaoke once a year for charity and quiz nights throughout the winter months, in which there are lots of prizes to be won. The pub is also dog friendly as long as they are house trained and it has a real fire situated in the bar, perfect for those long cold Winter walks. The pub is purely a real ale pub and therefore has no pool table and no fruit machines. So come and experience this fantastic real ale pub for yourself, where a warm and friendly welcome awaits all.
